Be a Member of the Parks Committee
The Parks Committee consists of 9 members who have interest, knowledge, or experience in recreational activities and parkland development. Committee members shall be Lisbon residents. Appointments to the Parks Committee shall be for a term of 3 years, commencing as of the first day of July in the year in which the appointment to the Committee member is made.
All appointments shall be made as of the expiration of the term of Committee members currently serving under prior Lisbon ordinances creating the Park Commission. All Committee members are required to swear an official oath that is kept on file with the Village Clerk.

Overview
The Parks Committee's primary function is to advise the Village Board and Plan Commission on matters pertaining to public recreation, parklands, local and regional trails, and other related activities; to recommend rules and regulations for the usage of parks and sports fields, and to make recommendations for acquisition, development, and improvement of parklands and recreational areas.
