Elections & Voting

The Clerk is responsible for coordination of all election activities in Lisbon, including registration of voters, maintenance of voter records, recruitment and training of election workers, and assisting the State in the conduct of elections. Questions regarding voting and elections may be directed to the Clerk's Office during regular business hours.

When does In-Person Absentee start/end?

Visit our Legal Notices & Public Hearings page, and then click the "Elections" tab to view the "Type E Notice of Absentee Voting Instructions" for details on dates/times for each election. 

Three Ways to Vote Your Ballot

• In person at your regular polling place on Election Day. Polls are open 7:00am - 8:00pm
• Absentee by mail. Requests can be submitted directly to the Clerk or online at MyVote.wi.gov
• In-Person Absentee Voting (Early Voting) at the Clerk's Office. Wisconsin law lets voters complete an absentee ballot at the Clerk's Office beginning during the 14 days prior to each election. Check the "Elections" tab of our Legal Notices & Public Hearings page page for election-specific dates and times. **Note: State law prohibits voting on the Monday before any election.

Returning Completed Absentee Ballots

Due to the recent Court rulings, please note that Absentee Ballots CANNOT be turned in using Drop Boxes. Absentee voters have three* options to return their completed ballot:

1. BY MAIL: The absentee voter* places the completed ballot in the U.S. Mail.
2. HAND-DELIVER: The absentee voter* personally delivers their completed ballot to the Clerk's Office during regular office hours.
3. ELECTION DAY: The absentee voter* personally delivers their completed ballot to the Chief Election Inspector at their regular polling place before the polls close at 8:00p.m.
